Installed/running and semi tuned.
As every install has it's stories...
We finished the install/start up late on a Sunday night, backed the thing outta the shop and went home.
I left feeling like it was running pretty crappy and no where near how I expected an injected 383 to run.
I goofed with the timing but didn't start to worry cause the I knew the plug wires were total crap. (figured they were messing with the ECM)
The new 'LiveWire' plug wires came Fri afternoon and I installed them on Sat.
In the mean time, I'd been reading all about how a stock TBI won't properly run a 383 and was truley beginning to worry now.
Okay, long/short of it...
Plug wires 6 & 8 were switched on the dizzy. Amazing how well it did run like that.
So now it runs like it should, I can power brake my 39.5's!
Still needs some minor tuning but wow, what a difference.
Can't wait to wheel it and have throttle response/power on demand.
