Not hardly.... Duramax van's & W4500 6.0L box trucks spit 4L80E's about every 100,000 miles, Gas 2500HD's & 3500's get about 200K. Even back in the 6.5L days I had a 80E on the bench at least once a week.
If every 3/4 & 1 ton diesel truck had a 4L80E at their current torque levels, Transmissions shops would be twice as busy.
For modified LS, Cant beat a 4L80E.
