Another thought on the rear lift......
Instead of doing a rear spring lift, or god-forsaken blocks in the rear, look into DIY4x's rear shackle flip kit. I put this set-up in my k20 burb and love it. Keeps the factory ride and helps out on the rear pinion angle issue because it relocates the rear of the leaf pack downward. You can also get their cross-tied shackles and get rid of the weaker factory shackles. The best part, no blocks!
I installed mine in about 4 hours, and have never regretted it.

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
