Re: Guess the Price Contest: Ridetech 48 Hour GMC

Another amazing 48 Hour Build Project is in the history books. Ridetech's first two efforts, the 48 Hour Camaro and 48 Hour Corvette compete regularly in autocross and road course events with Bret Voelkel and Ridetech Motorsports Manager, Chris Smith behind the wheel of each car.

The 48 Hour GMC pickup, however, has a new owner behind the wheel. The wining bidder visited the Barrett-Jackson DIY Pavilion at the beginning of the week and sure enough... he was right there in the arena on Sunday afternoon.

The Barrett-Jackson DIY Pavilion is cool. The winning bidder had the opportunity to see the disassembled vehicle. He was able to watch as the new American Autowire harness was routed. Likewise, he looked on as Vintage Air installed their exceptional AC and Frontrunner system. ...and with more than 100 new parts waiting for their turn to be installed, the winning bidder had the opportunity to engage the sponsoring manufacturers and inspect the parts.

He was not alone. Barrett-Jackson's DIY Pavilion attracted many tens of thousands of visitors during the week. Each enthusiast had the same opportunity to check out the truck and talk up the sponsors.

When it was GO time, Bret Voelkel had the honor of standing up on the block between Craig Jackson and Steve Davis. He said a few words while millions of viewers followed along on TV and on Livestream.

The 48 Hour pickup looked amazing under Barrett-Jackson's block lighting. Bidding action was hot and heavy. When the gavel hammered down, the new owner literally jumped for joy -- as did the entire 48 Hour Project Team.

Barrett-Jackson's 46th Annual Scottsdale Auction has come and gone, but hopefully, the Ridetech 48 Hour GMC Pickup Build will leave a lasting impression.

-- 67-72 GM trucks are gaining in both popularity and value. Everyone at Ridetech loves 'em.
-- There are some truly amazing parts manufacturers out there. They're run by some of the coolest and hardest working people you will ever meet. Bret Voelkel, myself and everyone at Ridetech would like to thank the 48 Hour GMC
