Installed all the bed wood and bolted up the bed to the chassis. I'm inching closer to getting this truck out the door of the shop.
I filled the grain with clear polyester with grain-filler product from Solarez - two coats sanded between applications with a DA.
I wanted to use the Solarez clear polyester for a top coat, but it was so difficult to use I just ended up spraying three coats of automotive clear and blocking it out by hand. I blocked it up to 2000 grit and didn't buff it so it has a soft satin finish.
Brakes are bled and the wiring harness all loomed up and secured. Hooked up the throttle cable, and tightened all the bolts on the chassis. It is about ready to have the wheels put back on and roll out of the shop for a bath.
Goal is to drive it around the neighborhood before Christmas
