I went ahead and cut my dash. I also used the stock left/right vents instead of the VA smaller vents.

It was a bit nerve racking, but I think it turned out great.

Also, I installed one of those double speakers in the dash so I could not use the VA center vent. I had to use a stock center vent with the block off plug on the left side.
