Seemed to run out of end play on the driver's side axle and couldn't quite get the outer snap ring into the axle groove (as pictured) when originally putting things back together. I had left it and moved on to other things until today. Made a makeshift puller with some angle iron and an end bolt on the axle...just about a turn and a half and the snap ring popped right into place.
