It could be a C&C frame, but from what I understand those didn't come in wheelbases that would suit an 8 foot bed. The closest wheel base will leave a gap of several inches between the bed and cab, if you were to install an 8 foot bed on a C&C which would require frame shortening. There was someone here awhile back that posted about this problem.

I happen to have 2 84 one tons in the driveway.
A 2WD, SRW, 350 8' bed,
and a 4WD, DRW, 454 C/C
The C/C has a 4 inch longer wheelbase than the standard truck.
136' vs 132".
The C/C is 5 or 6 inches longer, measured from the cab to the rear axle.
Yup, it'd be a funny lookin bed.
Seems like a fairly simple job to shorten the frame and drive shaft.
I may end up keeping this one.
