Sorry about the thread resurection here but,....
I was searching for posts about door cracks in the hinge area and found this. I read through and it got me to thinking and remembering my 1st car - 1974 Impala 2dr hardtop. It had HUGE doors, no vent windows and no window support frames above the door. Thinking "yeah, but it is supported by the hardtop" - I went searching for a similar converible and found this photo:
Is this not the same design we are shying away from when going to 1 peice windows on Blazers & Jimmies? GM used it for years. Are we making too much of the unsupported window theory? Just some food and photo for thought.....
