Yes, I believe 2001 was the last year of the EGR valve for the LS motor. You can unplug the connector to the EGR valve and see if it makes a difference. If no difference is noted, then your EGR valve is likely bad. Easy replacement. Two 10mm bolts and it’s located right on top, passenger side, front. Some people just clean it, but I rather just replace. Cleaning seems to be only a temp fix.
