Thumbs down Skip White Timing Cover & Water Pump

Well after seeing a lot of folks say how great Skip White was I gave them a try.

1- The Al timing chain cover they say will fit a gear drive "with a little grinding"
The fit was so far off I would have ground thru the entire cover to get it to lay flat on the block with my gear drive. The polish was subpar at best, except for where the front seal goes, that area was polished like ice. All I could think of was a leak. I ended up using a stock TC cover from GM at the advice of Pete Jackson.

2 -I bought an Al water pump at the same time. The back side ribs and the radius on the back inside edge of the pump require substantial grinding - like 45 minutes to get it to lay up against the block w/o hitting the timing chain cover.

I used the pump and it seems to work fine just to much work to install it.
