You fail to take into account pulley diameters when considering RPM. I dont remember the exact numbers, but I think I figured something like a 2:1 ratio, the AC compressor will spin 2 times for the cranks every 1 time.

So if you have a similar pulley ratio and run the engine to 6000 your compressor will spike at 12000.
