Take a look at this General. I have seen a couple with this grille and the square headlights, and my theory is that this was supposed to be the 1988-89 General. It is not the SBFA General as these trucks only have a different grill and headlights. The rest of the hood appears to be the same as a regular 116" BBC General. I have seen pictures of a silver General show truck with this front end that I believe GMC was displaying at trucking trade shows in 1986-87.
