hmmmm, I wish I had an answer for that one. 
Anyway, are you talking about the rear shocks or the front shocks? For the rear shocks I would say you for sure need the relocator brackets. For the front I am not sure if those are necessary. That seems to be a newer item that I have not seen much feedback on. I have a 4/6 drop and my front shocks didn't change angle that I can tell.
