Great write up.It looks great too.I only have one suggestion.While you are doing all of the above steps,clean the cables and lube them.I cleaned mine by clamping one end in a vise and freeing them with "Rust Buster" and soaking them in a parts washer for aweekend then dropping them ina oil drain pan with oil in it for a couple of days.They wouldn't move when I started and the levers were broken on the truck when I got it(heater only).After treating them this way I lube them with some graphite lube once a year and they are still working easily and smoothly.(it's been 6 years).
