I was planning to do the replacement on the 12 bolt, as I was planning to do the replacement on the Dana 44.
But, by the time I pay for all the parts, I'm into it for close to a thousand dollars. Tru Trac posi unit, ring and pinion, bearing, seals etc. Puts me pretty close to a grand.
A friend of mine who runs a shop (and obtains a discount) on the parts, will complete the entire job for $1,168.00. And he does this stuff weekly, versus me hardly ever doing it. So I'll drop the rear end off to him on Monday, and probably be able to pick it up on Wednesday, or Thursday at the latest.
