The valve from NAPA is brass, but it has a weird screw thing to shut off/open it up. It is possible for it to leak. You have to screw it all the way in, or all the way out to help (I said HELP) prevent it from leaking. Ball Valves are positive closers...the ball seats against the seat and blocks the flow. Even tho I have the NAPA valve and it isn't leaking at this time, AND it was a lot cheaper than the vacuum-operated valve that went bad, I'm gonna consider a ball valve when this one goes bad.
