I noticed a few things about the engine that you should probably fix right away. There isn't a PCV valve (or no breather, if it does have a valve is in the RH valve cover), which could make a sludged-up engine. There's a lot of rubber fuel line. There shouldn't be that much. Also, that Performer RPM intake manifold is designed for a aggressive-cammed, high revving, light weight car. Not the best choice for a Goodwrench engine in a truck.
