Re: My side marker light fuel filler idea

Here is what I first did, and what I ended up doing when running into problems with the filler at the gas station. I used a Chevy S-10 door/hinge and fabbed it to my rear marker. I also retained the rear mounting tab, allowing me to use the factory screw to secure it tight. You just have to remember to have a small screwdriver (or pocketknife) on hand to open it I ended up using a Blazer filler neck and inside cover when I went to the gas station and could not get the filler in there. I cut out a 2" diameter hole on the inside, and flipped the filler around, and used a 60-66 gasket (perfect fit) to hold/seal it all in place.

Again, if you do not have large rubber boots on the fillers at your gas station, Rob's method is the way to go.
