Re: How to tow a suburban - Uhaul?

If your burb runs and stops, and you can afford it, have it shipped by a pro on an open trailer. You can get some quotes on Uship to get an idea. If you don't have a heavy and powerful enough tow vehicle with a hitch that is safe for at least 7000 lbs (truck plus open trailer) then you are looking at a long and perhaps more costly trip trying to do it yourself.
My 22' enclosed trailer weighs about 3600 lbs. The open trailer I had previously weighed almost 2000 lbs. When I put one of my vehicles in the enclosed trailer, I am close to 7600 lbs. A Burb will be heavier than that. Be safe.
