I would spend the extra money on a eaton tru track, or something in that nature. You don't want to Lock the rear end full time, it's dangerous in weathered conditions, and it wears out your bearings faster. When you hear the dif making noise when you turn, it's more stress on the diff.
I run a eaton tru trac with dif cover, I'm at over 600hp to the wheels, launch on slicks and transbrake and it hasn't skipped a beat... Best money I've spent bar none
