Looks are everything these days I suppose …

The boot we used to have for a camper shell wasn't an accordion, it was custom fitted vinyl in a sort of U-shape - where the sides of the U snap into the inside of the front of the camper/sleeper and the inside of the back of the cab, and the bottom of the U spans the gap between cab and campers. It was a complete circle of course; the U-shape is just the profile of how the material was gusseted. When installed properly the material was stretched tight between the cab and camper.
