Thanks Bomp! welcome aboard.
Did a bit more yesterday.

I forgot to drill holes for the wiring to go through the cnotch when I did them. THIS IS SOMETHING YOU DO NOT WANT TO FORGET TO DO!
painstakingly had to drill holes to try and fix that. This is the best I could come up with using the tools I own.


Hole saw, Reciprocating saw, angle grinder, and a series of files later.



Then I made some gussets to cover the holes. they are made out of 3/8" plate.(Its a lot closer to 1/4" but they claim its 3/8") I did some relief cuts in the back then bent it. welded the back where the cuts were made to try and give it more strength. I also welded in the rivets to give it a more stylized look.



Did the other side to match.


Then I had these plates I cut for another project that ended up not being the right size. so I used them as more gusseting.









These aren't cleaned up all the way. just a quick wire brush to get the fluxcore burn off. Ill clean them better before paint.
