As for the ECM, I didn't touch anything. The plan was to unplug everything, swap it over, and then plug it all back in, and that's what I did. I disabled the airbag system, and didn't use the ABS module. The airbag light and ABS light are on in the dash, but that's it.

Wow, so no need to send off ecm or anything? That is interesting. I would love some more pics. Even though my truck is a 1987 I think it should be similar ordeal.

Really trying to figure out how to swap in the fuel tank from the 01 as well.

So you didn't do a standalone setup, right? You swapped everything from the original fuse box to the newer one? That is what I am wanting to do!
