Quality packaging usually means more money for the buying.
(because the dimensions are bigger and the box weighs more)

I had a NOS 73-87 style tailgate shipped from the east coast years ago.
It was wrapped in 1 layer of thin cardboard, and a total of about 4' of tape.
It arrived with a big dent in it.

Most don't understand the "insurance" deal either.
According to UPS,... if it's not packaged to "UPS Standards",... they don't pay on damaged items.
You gotta read or know what's in the fine print.
That's not something they advertise.
