The size you have on your spare is a good size, also a good place to start. I do not have any tires mounted on mine just yet. If someone tells you that they did not make these rims for the Chevy trucks back then, I think I would go somewhere else. The local tire store here in my area looked at my rims and gave me a couple of good choices. All were about the size you mentioned that you have on your spare. You may have to adjust a bit from that size depending on the tread pattern. Take your rim to a reputable tire store and see what they recommend.
