Doesn't the drive shaft hit that bar you have for the upper link bars? It must be close if it doesn't. 
Also, you might want to consider tying the bottom of the frame into that bar by triangulating it. The old cross member (which you have removed) really does a lot to keep the frame rigid. These frame s flex a ton before you start removing cross members. |
The crossmember did not hit when I put it in but that was before the Z so I may have to redo it when the motor goes back in. I don't have pictures of i but I have boxed some of the frame there so tying it in like you said would be pretty easy. I did tie it into the frame on the ends but it's not as rigid as what you suggest. In addition I have the brige bar in which is not shown either.
