Re: 1972 Chevy 4wd Longhorn Project: Never Ending Changes

No new progress on the truck. It has a battery drain issue now and I'm pretty sure I know what the issue is. I noticed after I reinstalled my rh inner fender that my external voltage regulator was very warm. I didn't think anything of it until after I found the batteries dead. Apparently if you unhook the ground wire and apply power to this type of VR, you will short it out and it will draw power. Oops. Hopefully it didn't hurt the alternator. I have a new VR I need to get installed on it and charge the batteries before it freezes and ruins the batteries. I might have to do this tonight.

I haven't had time to work on it because I've been rebuilding an engine for a board member. I'm really close on it now. I'm waiting for the injectors to be finished, and I hope to fire it off on Friday. Then deliver it Sunday and pick up another head ache. I mean project.
