To be clear the code number on the decal is the build date of the compressor itself and will logically fall before the build date of the truck. If you do not have your original compressor decal and are "picking" a code number, you'll want to pick a date 2-3 weeks ahead of the build date of the truck.

Pete's suggestion makes the most sense to me. Find one of the dates he listed and use it for your decal. Any of those dates obviously precede the build date of the truck and logically "could be" the build date of your compressor as well.
