Only had 40 minutes between getting home from work and having to shower last night with Joy coming over for dinner, so could not do anything big, like the truck or that work bench.

So decided this could be seen to in 45 minutes.

Remember it was another dumpster find.

Very early BSA Meteor .22 Air rifle.

More vintage than weapon, so let’s see where it goes.

Mate Craig found it and gave it to me as his wife does not agree with guns on their property.



Plan is to restore it, I have bought a replacement barrel seal and 500 pellets.

Stripped it down and started on the stock, removing varnish and sanding down to very fine grade by hand.



Next up will be either Danish oil, Matt clear varnish or oil.

I will see what the metal work looks like once done as it is a bit rough.
