There is nothing on GMC trucks in the GM Heritage center archives. Only Chevrolet. Actually only Chevy, Cadillac Oldsmobile and Geo and a lot of the info on some is sales media. https://www.gm.com/heritage/archive/...tion-kits.html

I go to the Chevy truck section almost daily to answer someone's question on the net.

I did find this on the Gregwapling site

2135412 GMC 46-54 200, 270 =3D 4
2193980 GMC 52-54 302
2324002 GMC 55-62 248, 302
2324003 GMC 55-63 270
2324004 GMC 55-62 302
2404929 GMC 55-63 270 =3D 4m

Then more searching finds this from the OLD GMC site that I have looked on a number of times and hadn't seen. Hope it's on the bottom here is the link to go with the image. http://www.oldgmctrucks.com/Photos/GMC_Numbers.htm

The casting number will be on the side of the block (I'm not sure exactly were) and between it and the stamped serial number you can get about as close as you can.

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
