My truck is a 1993 fleet orange (tangerine I think) in Chromabase, then a few coats of gold pearl infested clear, then straight clear.....
I noticed that there is some cracking in the paint on the roof, had a guy look at it for a repair, gonna be tricky getting the proper mix of pearl to match it...  |
My paint is a 3 stage:
White base (I think 3 coats so it was totally even)
Orange pearl (lots of it, 9 coats)
Clear (6 coats)
Yeah blending in on pearls and flakes is tough... It takes the right guy.. We have to fix my polishing boo boo on my hood
before the guy comes to pick it up... My buddy is a friggin Pro when it comes to blending so I think it will be ok. Too bad he moved to Sequim:
