Hi Fred, I just buttoned up a crate motor install on my ride and in doing so, I had to remove the heater box and rotate the hood hinge forward to do it. When I put the hinge back into place, I lowered the back of the hinge about 3/16" more than it was, and did the other side while the hood was off. Long story short, now the hood closes down in the back nicely. Needless to say, I don't "need" those hood hinges after all. I hope another member can use em.
