As this is designed to be a bolt-on performance upgrade from the OE, (and it is awesome for that) the load capacity is greatly reduced. With a 250 lb spring, I would say 500 lbs would be the max. But this could also be appx 400 lbs tongue weight. If you went up to a 350 spring (it would ride a little stiffer empty but still good) that would give you appx700 lbs load and 500 tongue wt.
