It could be a C&C frame, but from what I understand those didn't come in wheelbases that would suit an 8 foot bed. The closest wheel base will leave a gap of several inches between the bed and cab, if you were to install an 8 foot bed on a C&C which would require frame shortening. There was someone here awhile back that posted about this problem.

This is where GM in the 73-87/91 gets interesting
If you have a reg cab .....cab and chassis are 60 or 84 inch cab-axle
But crew cabs are all 56 inch cab-axle...with or without a bed
If it is a factory dually pickup with a box it has the wide Dana 70
If it is a cab and chassis it has the std 14 bolt
Pickups with 8ft beds are all 56 inch cab axle
