Rear end question
my 68 coil spring rear is the early one 55 1/2 inches, however the PO put 5 lug axles from a 78 chevy in it. I'm getting ready to install rear disc brakes but the axles are sticking out of the shaft about 1 1/2 inches on each side.
the rear says HA and the ratio is 14:43 (what are these ?)
do I change axles or rear end housing to a 71-72 ? thanks, Larry
