Im not too worried about the straight axle, what I am thinking though is that I will be putting discs on the front once I get it going. That motor may have sat for 30 years but someone rebuilt it prior to doing so and it wants to go!

I tried the disk brakes/power steering route on the straight axle....the brakes were good but the PS had some evil bumpsteer. The camaro clip and power brakes under the floor were by far the best mods...its by far my favorite vehicle I own. The clip is about an 8 hour job if the motor/trans is out and the front sheet metal is off,though I have done a few. I have one to do this winter for a friend,Ill make sure to take pics and do a write up.
