He claims the clearcoat is basicaly a plastic and thats what pledge is for. We're in the south with alot of bugs plus his truck was silver and it looke like brand new, and that truck never stopped from Alabama to Iowa and back and down to Florida and back many many times and I've personally seen him wash bugs off the front with a water hose. I haven't used it because I don't have anything with paint worth waxing but thought maybe some of you would find it interesting. He swears people are wasting time and money on wax.
