Did that already. No joy.
To add to the mess, when I replaced this regulator in 2006, I was talked into glueing the window onto the carrier, instead of the traditional method of thin rubber sheet dipped in 30 wt. If it had been stuck on the old way, the window glass would come off easily, and I could deal with the broken regulator assembly.

Every 25 years I like to rebuild that 292, whether it needs it or not.
