From what I've seen, you can use the typical non-PWM pump (like a Walbro 255) with an external regulator. I think the input pressure ranges between 45 and 75 psi, then the pump on top of the engine raises it above 1,000. The harness can be reworked to turn the fuel pump on just like Gen 3/4.
