Well, you've got the vin. That is the biggest obstacle in finding a classic car. I didn't read through the whole thread but, it appears that you're confident it wasn't parted so it is likely in a garage being restored. It had a really cool patina, so if the right guy bought it, he may not touch the paint.
But, if you keep searching it'll turn up eventually. And hopefully he isn't converting it to a Chevy.

You need to sell off everything you own to get that '59 Apache, otherwise you will be posting this same thread in a few years in the 55-59 forum.
