I was always under the impression that the Rockwell T-221 transfer case that was available from 1967 to about 1969-ish was ONLY available behind either the SM-420 in 1967 only, and the SM-465 from 1968 to 1969. Beginning in 1969 with the NP-205 phasing out the T-221, there was now an option for automatics as well as 3 speed on the tree manual transmissions.
Has anyone ever seen either a 3 speed or an automatic transmission coupled to a Rockwell T-221? Was there another even more obscure transfer case available in limited configurations from 1967 to 1969?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Thanks, Clay

According to the 1967 and 68 Vehicle Info Kit the T221 and 3 speed were standard equipment for a K10 and K20 and it also states the transfer case is bolted directly to the transmission via an adapter.
Automatic trans in a K-series was not an option in 67 or 68 according to these info kits.
