Re: Need a radio

You mentioned Custom Auto Sound which leads me to believe you want to go with a shaft style radio. I went through this process last spring/summer, and I read the crappy reviews as well. Fortunately, I decided to take a chance on the RetroSound Model One based upon a single positive write-up.

They are both shaft-style yet modern systems, and I think quite a few people get them confused because I know I did initially too. The price is a tad steep, but I have been very happy with my choice because I really appreciate the option of using a USB thumb drive or plugging the AUX 1/8 input into my phone. I installed it into my 1980 Suburban through a Rockford Fosgate amp and four speakers and I have been more than satisfied with the sound. But keep in mind I'm not a huge audiophile, but I know what I like.
