It looks like a later model 235. It was a common practice to swap out the old 216 with the much better 235 around the late 50's early 60's.
I'm no expert but I have several of these trucks in the 70's as they were cheap to buy ($50) and were good for work and every one had the 235 swap done before I purchased them.
