You will have to modifiy your frame or use spacers. The dimples you are refering to on your frame are the mounting bosses. Note that your frame is straight between those mounting spots. A Power steering gearbox will hit that flat section of frame before it hits those mounting points.

The dimple that you are refering to is on later frames where the frame curves inwards toward the engine in between those mounting bosses.

Also, you will need to notch your left front mount (of the radiator Core support).

All of this will make sense once you try to put the p/s gearbox onto the frame.

Also, in my copy of your picture, the section I marked up is "Dimpled in" on later 67 frames.
