Do you know if the autometer sender is for a idiot light or a gauge?..was doing some reading and it seems they are different ..
If you have a spare gauge, maybe a buddy has one, you could hook directly to the sender and see if it reads..
If you still have your old temp sender, what I'd do is put that in ..and run with it
