I can't say that I've never seen one either. I think I saw one in front of an electrical supply store once or twice in the '90s. It looked like he had spliced a Blazer front half with a shortbed fleetside back half on a shortbed frame. [115 ''] It was seamless. And the top was white fibreglas, but it had a cruiser-van style round porthole nearest the back hatch, then about 8'' - 12'' white fiberglas and then a normal-sized rhomboid side window with sliding glass. Must've been a doublewall joined to an aftermarket pop-top for a fleetside.
A lot of custom work... but if you've got more time than money and parts are cheap, go to town.
