That's the issue I saw when replacing the bed....I did want to use it. How to show it off and use it lightly?. Besides shooting 4 coats of Helsman polyurethane I also have a clear plyable plastic 1/8" thick sheet laid over the bed. So far I've only carried light cardboard boxes. Still looks good, but I don't expect it to stay perfect.
