I set mine where it is, after it was already back some more, because I couldn't get my coil covers to fit. They still need a little trimming for clearance, but that's as far forward as I wanted to go. But I like your thinking. It also gives me some space to move my coil packs to the back of the heads, if I decide to put them there later.
