gm sometimes makes a part only for a few months then they come up with something diff i guess you could say kinda like old skool recall i have come across it 2 times with camaro's one was 88 firebird with a one of a kind tranny mount $315.00 for a $10 mount they only put in the car for a few months the other was a clutch fork for mid 80's camaro dealer only part $200 for it only diff between that fork any other fork was position of nipple but made it worth $$$ i guess so chances are same with part you have
